What is Anafranil used for? Anafranil is in a class of drugs called tricyclic antidepressants. Clomipramine is used to relieve symptoms of depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

General Anafranil Precautions:

_ Do not take clomipramine if you have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) within the last 14 days.

Symptoms of Anafranil overdose may include: Symptoms of a clomipramine overdose include confusion, drowsiness, dizziness, fatigue, seizures, agitation, low blood pressure, fainting and hallucinations.

What other drugs will affect clomipramine? Clomipramine can increase the effects of many other drugs, leading to serious side effects.
