   Ischial Bursitis
Treatment of Ischiogluteal Bursitis

Ischial bursitis is a form of bursitis that is usually caused by prolonged sitting on hard surfaces that press against the bones of the bottom or mid-buttocks.

Arthritin is a powerful, safe and effective formula for ischial bursitis. Arthritin, with its complex of naturally occurring ingredients, reduced pain and inflammation commonly associated with bursitis.

Traditionally, ischial bursitis was an occupational injury of weaving where there was pressure on the buttocks at the same time as frequent extension of the hip. Ischial bursitis is sometimes referred to as "weaver's bottom" or "tailor's seat" because weavers and tailors traditionally would sit in a position that aggravated the affected bursa.

The ischial bursa is located below the bone in your buttock called the ischium. Symptoms include pain when sitting or lying down on the buttocks and pain that travels to the back of the thigh.

Get Rid of Bursitis Pain for Good

Bursitis is defined as inflammation of a bursa. Bursae are closed, round, flattened sacs that are lined by synovium and separate bare areas of bone from overlapping muscles or skin and tendons.

If you have ischial bursitis, you feel pain when the tendon moves over the bone, which means you feel pain often since the tendon sees a lot of action in everyday activity.

You can take three critical moves to prevent trochanter bursitis: consult a doctor before starting an exercise program, avoid repetitive movements that involve the ischial muscles and strengthen and stretch the muscles in your hips.

The best treatment for ischial bursitis, or any form of bursitis, is to rest the affected area. This usually means a period of time not participating in sports or activities that aggravate your symptoms. As a general rule of thumb, any activity that causes ischial bursitis pain should be avoided. These activities only contribute to inflammation of the bursa.

If you have ischial bursitis that has been caused by straining and friction, your doctor will recommend rest as the first line of treatment. By giving your body a chance to heal, you may be able to avoid more invasive treatments.

Get Soothing Relief for Bursitis

When first consulting a doctor, he or she will most likely conduct a physical examination to determine whether your pain is the result of ischial bursitis. The doctor may then conduct tests to rule out the possibility of conditions with similar symptoms. By obtaining an x-ray, your doctor will be able to see whether you have problems such as bone spurs exasperating the issue. It's possible your doctor will want do a bone scan or a magnetic resonance imaging test to see if you have a fracture.

In addition to recommending exercise to strengthen muscles, physical therapy, your doctor may advise you to lose weight to reduce pressure on the ischial area.

If you suffer from ischial bursitis and rest doesnt help the affected area fully recover, see a doctor to find out if other treatments will be more successful.
